This has been a pretty busy week. We’ve existed most days on less than 4 or 5 hours of sleep. One night it was closer to 2 hours. Eventually, we’ll catch up – maybe tomorrow or maybe the next day. We need a little down time first.
What do I hate? I hate Ford Fiestas. The visibility is awful. You can’t see out the back window because it’s so tiny. You can’t see out of the side windows because of the headrests that block the small windows. So, what in the world were we doing in a Ford Fiesta ? Well, we were at the mercy of Hertz and what they would give us. So, just ask me what I think of Ford Fiestas?
In the last 3 or 4 days we’ve rented a couple of cars. Belonging to the Hertz Gold Plus Club normally gives us a free upgrade 95% of the time. Such was the case with our first rental of the trip in Chicago. It was a loaded Chevy Impala with just about every option. We needed that one for the trip to Great Lakes but also needed another in Nashville for our trip to Kentucky. However, we were “awarded” the Fiesta. I probably shouldn’t complain too much as both car rentals were free since we used reward points from Hertz.
I have hundreds of pictures to review over the last week but don't have time to do that yet. Right now we’re waiting for the transportation we booked to get us from the Nashville airport to Crossville where our RV and vehicle have been parked for quite sometime.
We learned that Jerry and Janice will probably arrive just before we do tonight. More plans are in the works as we hope to meet up with the Cox and Rempe couples on Tuesday! Soon it's off to Pensacola for us!
‘Tis life on the road.
We will be watching your travels through Pensacola and the rest of Florida. Keep us informed on what you see and do.
ReplyDeleteGotta love those Chevy's. Before you start all your partying again I think you both need naps. Have fun and tell everybody hi for us.
ReplyDeleteI try to look at car rentals as trial periods to help us learn what we might or might not buy in the future. It doesn't always help much, though, when you get one you would definitely NOT buy.
ReplyDeleteDon't hold back, tell us how you really feel... ;c)
ReplyDeleteI can't understand how some car manufacturers go to all these great lengths to make their cars "safer" and then you can't see out of them for anything. Where did common sense go?
You get what you get sometimes, but sure nice to hear your opinions.
ReplyDeleteGet some rest then have some more fun.
