Reservations Not Needed

I’ve been lazy with blogging.  We’re still trying to update our little cabin.  It seems every year we undertake at least one new project.  Usually it’s way more than one. 

One good thing about being here is that we don't have to worry about making reservations especially when RV parks start filling up during the summer and especially in the Pacific NW.

We did get our little dining area mostly finished and even added a pub table for games and maybe a meal or two.  We have had to remember that anything we do is for a “cabin” atmosphere. The deck hasn’t been completed yet but that’s because we’ve been mainly working inside.  The projects for this week are new carpet and a wall mural in addition to some insulation and paint. 

The weather has been mostly cooperating except for yesterday and today.  Temperatures are expected to soar into the upper 80’s and 90’s this weekend.  However, we probably won’t hit the water yet with the kayaks … still have too much to finish.

Sandi and I did take a couple fun walks. It’s a gorgeous area with Mt. St. Helens visible on those beautiful days.

I’ve also been busy placing Amazon orders and returning them.  I have one great camera but the little one I normally carry in my purse just stopped working.  I’ve ordered 3 cameras from Amazon and after today will end up returning all 3 of them.  Why?  They keep shipping the wrong one.  Evidently, someplace along the line the coding on the camera box was transposed.  On the last order I even made sure they were from different warehouses but that didn’t matter.  I still received an “SZ” model instead of an “ZS” model.  Maybe I should just keep the one instead of shipping it back.

 

Besides the camera issue I’ve made a couple trips to the local Wal-Mart for prints.   To keep in the theme of this place I pulled out a picture of a buck I took last year.  His antlers had gotten caught in plant netting.  Wal-mart did an 20x30 enlargement.   Now all I need is a rustic frame before it’s on the wall.

Terry’s family is planning on a little get together in Missouri around the 16th of this month.  I know he’s going but haven’t decided whether I’ll go too.  That might be a good time to pick up our motorhome in Virginia and move it towards Roanoke but we will see.

We've had a lot of great times with the kids ... shopping, eating, talking and even playing cards.
